Line Messaging App Exceeds 300 Million Registered Users Worldwide
Fast growing message app Line exceeds 300 million registered users. Line corporation, the team behind free calling and message app today announced that their network just exceed 300 million users worldwide and it only takes 4 months to reach 200 million from 300 million registered users.
The Line app continues to grow its following in Asia, the service from Japan and now made a huge push in Latin America and Europe. Since launched in 2011 lane app hits 300 million users in just 29 months. The company officially announced on their blog post says “In addition to East Asia, where the app has already established a strong foothold, user numbers are also growing steadily in Hispanic regions such as Spain and Mexico. Currently, the company is focusing on the acquisition of new users in India, Turkey, and West European countries including France, Germany and Italy by conducting localized promotional activities and strengthening partnerships with local mobile network operators and device manufacturers”.
CEO of LINE Corporation, Akira Morikawa commented that We are extremely pleased to have achieved our target of 300 million users for the year in such a short time after clearing the 100 million user mark only in January. Line corporation believes that its can hit 500 million users in 2014.
Line App was originally created for as a mobile application for iOS and Android smartphones. Then they expanded their service to Blackberry on August 2012, for Windows phone in 2013.
