Syrian Electronic Army hacked Microsoft’s official Blog and Twitter Account
Syrian electronic army strikes again, this time its against Microsoft. Syrian electronic army hacked Microsoft’s official blog and their Twitter account. Microsoft’s news twitter account tweeted at 2:30 p.m. ET says “Syrian Electronic Army was here via @official_SEA16 #SEA.
They also Tweeted “Don’t use Microsoft emails (hotmail, outlook), They are monitoring your accounts and selling the data to the governments”. This tweet was retweeted by Microsoft’s Twitter accounts from Syrian Electronic Army’s twitter account.
Also the hacking team takes control over Microsoft’s official blog and posted about themselves.
Microsoft’s official blog down “The site is currently undergoing maintenance and will be down till 9:30 PM PST on January 11th 2014.”
Syrian Electronic Army representative says that today’s attack was designed to be a distraction. “We are making some distraction for Microsoft employees so we can success in our main mission.” TheVerge reports.
On this month earlier Skype’s official Twitter, Facebook accounts and Blog Hacked by the same team Syrian Army. They tweeted Don’t use Microsoft emails (hotmail, outlook), They are monitoring your accounts and selling the data to the governments” and the tweet retweeted more than 8000 times and its remain online for more than 2 hours.
