Facebook to start Shared photo albums

Social Networking giant Facebook preparing a new feature to add on their services. Its called ‘Shared Albums’ that will allows multiple users to contribute on a single album. The new feature will be rolled out from today.

The new system will be help to engage more users and it may be like a photo network. If you create an album on Facebook the owner can add up to 50 contributors on the album and and every contributors can add up to 200 photos and the total of up to 10k photos per shared album.

Previously in single albums users can only allowed to up load 1000 photos. Facebook confirmed about the arrival of this new feature to TheNextWeb.com team that “Hundreds of millions of photos are uploaded onto Facebook each day and today, we’re making it even easier for friends to share photos with the rollout of Shared Photo Albums.  Whether you’re at a wedding, birthday party, or fresh off of a trip, all your friends will be able to add photos, tag photos and edit just one album.”

Noe the shared album feature have 3 privacy settings public, friends of contributors and contributors. The Facebook’s new feature is absolutely like Pinterest‘s shared boards that allows contributors albums to the network.
