‘OK Google’ – Google brings Hotword Voice Search to the Desktop with Chrome Extension

Search engine giant Google announced today a new Google Voice Search Hotword extension ‘OK Google’, a voice search to the desktop with a new chrome extension. Users can download the currently extension beta extension in Google Chrome store.

This is something interesting after downloading the extension from chrome store go to Google.com and just say “OK Google” then ask your question. Google brings you the answer for your question.

Here is how it works. OK Google

Google officially announced this on their official Google+ page says that “This year, rather than stopping midway through to wash your hands and type in a search, you can just speak to your laptop: “Ok Google, how many ounces are in one cup?” Et voila, the cooking can go on. You can also say “Ok Google, set a timer for 30 minutes” so you don’t forget to baste that turkey. To access hands-free search on your laptop, just download the Google Voice Search Hotword extension from the Chrome Web Store”.

This is a YouTube video with more instructions about ‘OK Google.’

The Chrome extension is currently limited  to the English language in the US. The new tool is also available for Android users who have the version 4.4 KitKat. This is bit disappointing for for Android KitKat users because it is available in more than just its native English.
