What is Twitter Custom Timelines and How to use that on TweetDeck?

Micro-blogging platform Twitter introduced a new feature named “Custom Timelines.” With the the new feature users can create their own custom timelines with about a particular program, event with related tweets.

What you can do with this?

Share the best Tweets about a topic you care about, or an event –– planned or unplanned –– that’s happening right now. Whether you want to collect the best Tweets about a TV show or help people find the latest information about fast-moving real-time situations, custom timelines let you give everyone a place to follow along. Brian Ellin, product manager for the Twitter platform says in a blog post.

How to use that on TweetDeck?

You need the Twitter client TweetDeck to create Custom Timelines. TweetDeck will allow users to come up with creative groupings, including a collection of humorous tweets that users wish to share with friends at the end of each week, or a collection of tweets about an event or crisis that reporters can embed into a story as it unfolds. Go to TweetDeck and it will show you a pop up alert once custom timelines is ready to use on your account. If its approved for your account start like this.
