Facebook plans to shutdown their messenger service for Windows and Firefox on March 3. Earlier today Facebook also announced that they are going to stop Windows support for Facebook Messenger on March 3.

Facebook announced that “We’re sorry, but we can no longer support Facebook Messenger for Windows, and it will stop working on March 3, 2014, We really appreciate you using Messenger to reach your friends, and we want to make sure you know that you can keep chatting and view all your messages on http://www.facebook.com.”

Now Facebook also announced thy also plan to stop their Firefox Messenger on the same day. They announced “We’re sorry, but we can no longer support Facebook Messenger for Firefox, and it will stop working on March 3, 2014.

The decision shows Facebook had no plan to develops any applications for the desktop.
