WhatsApp zooms to record 64 billion messages in 24 Hours, Suffers Outage

WhatsApp the popular instant messaging service zooms to record 64 billion messages and suffers outage too. This is a record of most messages sent and received in 24 hours betas new year eve.
This is WhatApp 2nd major outage after Facebook’s acquisition for $19 billion. On last February WhatsApp is down due to server issues for 210 minutes. Today WhatsApp announced through their Twitter account tweets that “new daily record: 20B messages sent (inbound) and 44B messages received (outbound) by our users = 64B messages handled in just 24 hours.”

While users try to acces WhatsApp it shows “Sorry our service is experiencing a problem right now. We are working on it and hope to restore the functionality shortly.”

According to TechCrunch’s report Twitter and DownDetector.com, WhatsApp service has been experiencing issues for roughly an hour, at least in some parts of the world,
